About TAKMIL

Teach a Kid Make Individual Life

Teach a Kid Make Individual Life (TAKMIL) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit in the USA. TAKMIL focuses onĀ out-of-school children in rural Pakistan, providing quality education through technology aligned with national standards to bridge educational gaps and empower marginalized communities.

Our Mission

We are on a mission to bring education to out-of-school children in Pakistan’s most underserved rural areas, where schools never existed. Through our solar-powered, tech-enabled learning centers, we offer a second chance to learn, grow, and dream.

Our Vission

We envision a Pakistan where every child, regardless of geography or background, has access to quality education. By 2047, our goal is to see a nation with zero out-of-school children, equipped for a brighter, more equitable future.

Our Story

TAKMIL began in 2017 with just one micro-school and 50 children in Mardan, KPK. Today, we’ve grown into a movement reaching 5,000+ children across 150+ rural communities; powered by innovation, compassion, and a shared belief in every child’s right to learn.

In Pakistan 26.2 Million Children Are Out of School

Pakistan faces the highest rate of out-of-school children globally. Over 26.2 million children lack access to education, most of them in rural regions. Nearly 60% are of primary and middle-school age (5–16 years), highlighting a critical gap in educational access that continues to deepen inequality.

Our Focus:

Reaching Pakistan’s Most Underserved Areas

Rural and Remote Communities

TAKMIL reaches the 77% of out-of-school children who live in Pakistan’s rural and remote areas, where schools; public or private, don’t exist and basic services like electricity or internet are unavailable.

Girls’ Education in Marginalized Areas

In many underserved regions, girls have never seen a classroom. TAKMIL focuses on bridging this gender gap by offering accessible, safe, and community-supported learning spaces for every girl.

Zero Infrastructure

We operate without constructing school buildings. Communities offer existing spaces, like mosques, homes, or baithaks; while our tech-based ā€œSchool in a Boxā€ delivers a complete learning experience.

Solution That TAKMIL Provides

Accelerated Learning Model

TAKMIL’s accelerated curriculum enables children to complete primary education (Grades 1–5) in 12 months and elementary education (Grades 6–8) in 18 months; helping them quickly catch up on missed years.

Tech-Powered School in a Box

Each micro-school runs on a solar-powered device preloaded with video lessons and assessments. Facilitators guide students using an app that tracks learning outcomes in real time.

Community-Led & Sustainable

TAKMIL’s schools are run by local facilitators. Community ownership creates accountability and long-term sustainability, making education more than just a service; it becomes a shared responsibility.

What They Say

ā€œI was an out-of-school girl who dropped out in Grade 2 because our village had no school. At 16, I joined TAKMIL’s Zuha Rafiq School in Khuzdar and, within a year, traveled to Lahore for the Science Mela. TAKMIL didn’t just teach me—it gave me confidence and purpose.ā€
