About TAKMIL
Teach a Kid Make Individual Life
Teach a Kid Make Individual Life (TAKMIL) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit in the USA. TAKMIL focuses on out-of-school children in rural Pakistan, providing quality education through technology aligned with national standards to bridge educational gaps and empower marginalized communities.
Our Mission
We are on a mission to bring education to out-of-school children in Pakistan’s most underserved rural areas, where schools never existed. Through our solar-powered, tech-enabled learning centers, we offer a second chance to learn, grow, and dream.
Our Vission
We envision a Pakistan where every child, regardless of geography or background, has access to quality education. By 2047, our goal is to see a nation with zero out-of-school children, equipped for a brighter, more equitable future.
Our Story
TAKMIL began in 2017 with just one micro-school and 50 children in Mardan, KPK. Today, we’ve grown into a movement reaching 5,000+ children across 150+ rural communities; powered by innovation, compassion, and a shared belief in every child’s right to learn.
In Pakistan 26.2 Million Children Are Out of School
With 26.2 million out-of-school children, Pakistan holds the highest number globally; an alarming statistic that reveals a deep-rooted educational crisis. Nearly 60% of these children are in the primary and middle school age group (5–16 years), missing out on foundational learning. A vast majority come from rural areas, where schools are scarce or non-existent. This systemic gap continues to widen the divide between opportunity and access for millions.
TAKMIL Focus on 77% Rural Communities of Pakistan
TAKMIL is dedicated to addressing the education crisis in Pakistan, where 77% of out-of-school children live in rural and remote areas. These underserved communities often have no access to schools, whether public or private, and face a severe lack of basic resources such as internet connectivity, electricity, and educational infrastructure.
By implementing community-based learning centers powered through solar energy and supported by tech-enabled education models, TAKMIL brings non-formal education to regions where traditional schooling has never existed. Our mission is to provide rural education in Pakistan that bridges the gap for children most in need.

How the TAKMIL Model Works
TAKMIL is transforming access to education for out-of-school children in rural Pakistan through a data-driven, tech-powered education model. Using a solar-powered School-in-a-Box and an accelerated learning curriculum, children in the most underserved and remote communities are gaining access to learning—no buildings required, just commitment. With the help of local facilitators, offline digital tools, and strong community involvement, TAKMIL is bridging the education gap where formal schools have never existed.

1. Integration Accelerated Curriculum
TAKMIL follows an accelerated curriculum designed to help out-of-school children in rural Pakistan catch up on years of missed learning. Our unique program completes Grades 1–5 in just 12 months and Grades 6–8 in only 18 months, ensuring foundational education is accessible quickly and effectively.

2. Digital Delivery System
We utilize video lessons from open resources to address the need for more trained instructors. Each topic includes 2-3 videos, followed by digital assessments. Additionally, our portable School-in-a-Box manages classes with solar-powered technology.

3. Community-Driven Approach
TAKMIL's non-formal schools operate in local spaces like baithaks, mosques, jirgah halls, or facilitator homes. By using these community-owned spaces and involving local facilitators, we create a sense of ownership and sustainability in every village we serve.
